I grew up in the textile industry.
My parents worked for a New England textile manufacturer – my mother as a design director, my father as a designer. As a kid I spent most vacation days and afternoons after school waiting in my father’s office, drawing and doing homework.
One day one of the VP’s asked me if I would like to paint something for the line. I had never worked in repeat or painted with gouache before, but I was excited to try it. I cant imagine that it was a masterpiece but I knew it was what I wanted to do. I was seventeen.
After several successful years as a freelance pattern designer, I went on to work for two of the area’s largest textile design companies. Eventually they both closed their doors and I continued my work as a freelancer once more.

I now work from my studio in historic Warren RI. I can see boats passing by and watch seagulls fly past my window. I enjoy having the opportunity to create custom work for textile and home decor companies, as well as individuals looking to add some color and pattern to their homes.
I love nature and find the inspiration for many of my patterns there. Simple modern designs are my favorites, but i can work in any style from detailed kilim and paisley patterns to simple geometrics and modern florals.
